Laureles is a popular neighborhood for foreigners living in Medellín. We provide a comprehensive guide to Laureles for expats looking to live in Laureles.
Every year, Time Out Magazine lists the coolest neighborhoods and streets in the world. This time, the Laureles neighborhood tops the list. One of the relevant factors for remaining on this list is that the sector has a reasonably quiet reputation despite having the Atanasio Girardot soccer stadium and La 70, a nighttime entertainment space.
Laureles-Estadio has many areas with tree-lined streets and much fewer high-rise apartments than in El Poblado. Also, Laureles is primarily a residential neighborhood.
In the past, we interviewed some expats who decided to live in Laureles due to it being extremely walkable, with quiet, leafy streets and large parks. Also, they found that Laureles has a sufficient number of restaurants for them.
In addition, we previously compared El Poblado vs Laureles and looked at the pros and cons of Laureles.
El Poblado is an excellent place to visit in town or occasionally, but there are far better neighborhoods like Laureles for day-to-day living.

Laureles-Estadio has several nice barrios (neighborhoods). Four of the best barrios in Laureles-Estadio that are popular with foreigners include Estadio, Florida Nueva, Laureles, and Suramericana.

According to the analysis presented, armed robbery is one of the most common types.

This space does not only have the stadium around it, but it also has large sports spaces open to the public: it has an athletics stadium, a tennis court, five coliseums (basketball, volleyball, combat, table tennis, and gymnastics coliseum), track skate park, Velodrome, Skatepark, baseball diamond, softball diamond, and aquatic complex.
