The Bottom Line – Grill Station Burger
Grill Station Burger is one of my favorite burger places in Medellín. And this chain has very good American style burgers. They have many different burgers on the menu but you can also have the burgers custom made with ingredients you select, which I like.
There is a lot of competition for gourmet burger places in Medellín. Several other burger places in Medellín like Chef Burger, Barbacoa Burger & Beer and Jack & Roll also have good gourmet style burgers.
Furthermore, all these gourmet style burger restaurants in Medellín tend to have much better burgers than you will find at the fast food places like Burger King or McDonalds.

Really !? Another Burger place…on Christmas Eve !?! Would it not be more useful to take the opportunity of this special day to advise readers of good restaurants that are open to have dinner on Christmas Eve. So many are closed, and so many expats would love to know where they can have an excellent Christmas Eve dinner in Medellín. Just a thought, otherwise I am a great fan of your information posts.
Sorry, it would take a lot of time to contact restaurants to find out which ones are open. Also, that would be an article really only useful for one day.
But some restaurants are typically open today and are closed tomorrow. Today is an observed holiday in Colombia that isn’t an official public holiday – see our holiday article: https://medellinguru.com/colombia-holidays/
Grill Station Burger is open today and tomorrow night but closed on Jan 1.
Nice post, Grill Station Burger has some good burgers. I also like Chef Burger and Barbacoa. I never go to fast food burger places as there are many better burger places in town.
I agree why go to McDonalds or other fast food burger places when there are better gourmet burger places. I don’t understand why so many gringos come to Medellin and then eat at McDonalds or Burger King when there are so many better burger places in the city.
+1 for Chef Burger. When I lived in Medellin, I ate there whenever I wanted a good burger. The problem I had with Chef Burger and the overall burger scene in Medellin, was the fact that the burgers didn’t have that sloppy, greasy, fattiness to them. You know, when you bite into a burger, and all of those salty, greasy, rich flavors come together while squirting juice onto your tray? That experience is what sets a good burger apart from an amazing burger. All the burgers I tried in Medellin never had that holy crap that’s a good burger feeling to them. If you make it to Bogota, then try Home Burger. It s a growing chain that slangs the only burgers I’ve had in Colombia that can compete with the better burger places in the US (5 guys, Shake Shack, Smashburger, etc).
