Pica Rosso Pizzeria: A Pizzeria in Sabaneta with Good Italian Food

Pica Rosso Pizzeria is a popular restaurant in Sabaneta with good Italian food and pizzas that hasn’t been discovered by many foreigners.

Several Medellin Guru readers asked if there is a good Italian restaurant in Sabaneta. This pizzeria/Italian restaurant is located about six blocks from Parque Sabaneta but hasn’t yet been discovered by many foreigners.

This Italian restaurant was recommended by a Medellin Guru reader and I recently tried it and found that it has good food.  This is a small restaurant with only five table but they have a big menu.

The Food Menu

This restaurant specializes in Italian food and pizzas. There are over 30 pasta dishes on the menu including several types of lasagna dishes priced from 24,000 to 40,000 pesos.

Also, there are 25 pizzas on the menu for 16,000 to 35,000 pesos. In addition, there are several salads on the menu.

Menu del Dia lunch special for only 12,000 pesos – a margarita pizza (basil pizza)

Furthermore, there is an inexpensive Menu del Dia lunch special for only 12,000 pesos – either a margarita pizza (basil pizza) or a vegetarian pasta dish.

Finally, there are six desserts on the menu for 3,500 to 6,500 pesos. Also, they have seven types of oven baked bread on the menu for 3,500 to 6,000 pesos.

The Drink Menu

This restaurant has a relatively small drink menu. There are several wines available and there are three beers on the menu for 4,000 to 7,000 pesos.

For non-alcoholic drinks they have natural juices, sodas, water and teas for 2,500 to 6,000 pesos.

How to Get to Pica Rosso

This pizzeria/Italian restaurant is located about six blocks from Parque Sabaneta, which is about an eight-minute walk. It is located near the Sabaneta Library.

Parque Sabaneta is located about a 10-minute walk east from the Sabaneta metro station on the Medellin metro, which is the second to last station going south on Line A.

Several Medellin Guru readers have asked if there is a good Italian restaurant in Sabaneta.

When I went to the restaurant there were only Colombians in the restaurant, no foreigners. And the waitress said foreigners rarely come to this restaurant. But this restaurant has some good Italian food and pizzas and a big menu for such a small restaurant.

Also, they have inexpensive Menu del Dia lunch specials for only 12,000 pesos (pasta or a margarita pizza)
