Daisuki Sushi Wok is a popular Japanese restaurant in Sabaneta with good sushi and Asian stir-fry food. Daisuki Sushi Wok opened about a year ago. So, this restaurant opened during the coronavirus pandemic in Colombia and is still operating due to having good food.
I live in Sabaneta and had walked by this restaurant many times but never tried it out until recently based on a Medellin Guru reader recommendation.
I found that this restaurant has good sushi and also has good stir-fried food. Note three of the above photos are curtesy of Daisuki Sushi Wok.
The Menu
The specialty of this restaurant is sushi and there are 31 different sushi options on the menu. The sushi comes in a full order of 10 sushi or a half-order of 5 sushi.
Full orders of sushi range in price from 22,500 to 37,000 pesos for 10 sushi. And half-orders of sushi range in price from 12,000 to 19,900 pesos.
Also, there are seven wok stir-fry dishes on the menu for 22,000 to 32,000 pesos.
In addition, there are four appetizers on the menu for 18,000 to 25,900 pesos.
The Drink Menu
This Japanese restaurant has a decent sized drink menu. There are four beers on the menu for 7,000 to 8,000 pesos. There is a house wine for 70,000 pesos for a bottle.
Also, two types of Sangria are available for 70,000 pesos for a pitcher or 18,000 pesos for a cup. In addition, there are several cocktails on the menu.
For non-alcoholic drinks there are natural juices, sodas, lemonades and water for 3,500 to 7,000 pesos.
How to Get to Daisuki Sushi Wok
Daisuki Sushi Wok is located less two blocks south from popular Parque Sabaneta in Sabaneta.
An easy way to get to Parque Sabaneta is to take the Medellín metro Line A south to the Sabaneta metro station. And the Sabeneta station is only about 10 minutes from the Poblado metro station.
Parque Sabaneta is located about a 10-minute walk east from the Sabaneta station. In addition, there are many people walking on the streets to/from the metro station. So, it’s relatively safe during the day and even after dark – but not too late.
Also, there are frequent and inexpensive metro buses that use Civica cards that cost only 2,300 pesos, which run from the Sabaneta metro station to and from the park. Most noteworthy, these buses don’t drop you at the park, they drop you about a block from the park.
In addition, there is a taxi stand at the Sabaneta metro station, which normally has taxis available. Furthermore, any taxi driver in Medellín will know where Parque Sabaneta is located. It’s also normally pretty easy to catch a taxi at the park.
