The new location of Big Boy Food opened in Sabaneta on August 27 with a selection of food inspired by the U.S, UK, and Italy plus Colombia.

This was a reopening, moving from a smaller place that opened in February 2021 and closed on August 15 to move to the new location.

I have eaten at the previous location that was much smaller and it moved to a new location with more tables and space due to being popular.

The old location only had two tables so frequently had lines waiting. Their slogan is “We’re not fast food, we’re good food”.

The Food Menu

This restaurant has food inspired by food from the U.S., UK, Italy and Colombia. So, there are a variety of dishes on the menu.

• UK inspired – four fish dishes for 19,000 to 60,000 pesos (largest is a picnic).
• Italy inspired – seven pasta dished for 20,000 to 25,000 pesos
• U.S. inspired – submarine sandwiches and mac and cheeses dishes for 14,000 to 25,000 pesos.
• Colombia inspired – four potato dishes with different meats for 18,000 to 24,000 pesos.

Also, there is breakfast available all day – pancakes, French toast or bacon and eggs with a bagel for 12,000 to 14,000 pesos.

In addition, there are seven appetizers on the menu for 10,000 to 23,000 pesos. Finally, there are six desserts on the menu for 8,000 to 16,000 pesos.

The Drink Menu

This restaurant has decent sized drink menu with a bar with TVs to enable watching sports.  There are 16 cocktails on the menu for 12,000 to 23,000 pesos. Also, there are mojitos, sangria and margaritas on the menu.

In addition, there are 10 beers on the menu for 4,000 to 8,000 pesos. Furthermore, there are a few wines on the menu.

For non-alcoholic drinks they have sodas, water and teas for 4,000 pesos each.

How to Get to Big Boy Food

This restaurant is located only two blocks north from popular Parque Sabaneta, which is about a three-minute walk from the park.

Parque Sabaneta is located about a 10-minute walk east from the Sabaneta metro station on the Medellin metro, which is the second to last station going south on Line A.
