The concept for Barbaro was born from a passion for the grill and the joy for meat prepared in many ways. This steakhouse adapts their meat cuts to a primitive concept with thick cuts without much manipulation prior to consumption.
Also, they use slow cooking techniques, smoked processes and a wide variety of cuts of pork, beef, fish and seafood.
In addition, they use a barrel method, which consists in providing a smoked flavor to the natural flavor of meats, by means of a direct exposure of meats with smoke from coal and/or hard wood. The meat products are suspended in the upper part of the barrel with the heat of the wood in the background.

In Medellín, Crepes & Waffles is so popular the company has grown to a total of 19 restaurants and 10 ice cream shops. And the restaurants are not difficult to find, as over half of them in Medellín are found in malls in the city.
The company has grown to over 80 restaurants in nine cities in Colombia and a total of over 100 restaurants in nine countries. In addition, the company is known for primarily hiring women who are the head of a household.

Delirio Exquisito has some really creative food that is also very tasty. It’s a fascinating concept and they really put some thought into their dishes.
I am from Texas and I like good Mexican food. And I also like Asian food, particularly Thai and Japanese. Delirio Exquisito is an interesting fusion of Mexican and Asian So, it’s unique among the Mexican restaurants in Medellín.

The Halong restaurant has an extensive gluten free menu, which meant my meal choices were endless when I have gone to this restaurant. I like the chicken pho from this restaurant, as it’s one of my favorite Vietnamese dishes.

El Correo Carne y Vino y Amada is a steakhouse chain with three restaurants in Medellín, which are very popular. This restaurant chain has a nice ambience and some very good steaks and also very good desserts.
El Correo actually started out as a pastry business. The first dream of the founders was a boutique pastry shop. The idea was to pay tribute to grandmother and her delicious dessert preparations.
So, the founders started out with pastries being made at home. And then in 2009, they opened their first pastry point of sale location in Medellín.
The second dream of the founders was to offer meat and wines. So, after a few years with the pastry business, they opened the first El Correo Carne y Vino y Amada in October 2012, which offers steaks, wines and desserts.
Since the first El Correo steakhouse opened in 2012, it has grown into a chain of three steakhouses in Medellín and one in Montería plus they have plans to open a steakhouse in Pereira. Also, they have an Amada pastry shop in El Tesoro mall.

Hello Burgers & Beer is a popular gourmet burger restaurant in the Medellín area with good American style burgers that can be custom made. This restaurant used to be named Monsieur Burger but it rebranded in 2019 to Hello Burgers & Beer.
The unique thing about this burger place is you can chose the bread, the meat, the cheese and toppings. So, the burgers can be custom made. In addition to custom made burgers, Hello Burgers & Beer has 12 signature burgers on the menu.

Kuelap is small but intimate and popular Peruvian restaurant located in El Poblado in Medellín with good ceviche and other seafood plus good service.
This is one of my favorite Peruvian restaurants in Medellín. I have eaten at this restaurant several times and the service and food has been very good.
In my experience, the dishes at this restaurant chain are well-prepared and well-presented.
Kuelap has a fairly large menu with many ceviche, seafood, rice, pasta and Peruvian dishes on the menu. Since this is a Peruvian restaurant, ceviche is a specialty. There are four different ceviche dishes on the menu that are priced from 26,900 to 29,900 pesos.
In addition, there are 13 house specialties that include several Peruvian dishes with fish and seafood. And there are 10 rice dishes with seafood or meat.
Also, there are eight different fish dishes on the menu. And there are four different soups priced. In addition, there are five pasta dishes on the menu.

Mu Medellín is a popular British-owned restaurant in Medellín with arguably the best ribs in Medellín. Ribs are essentially the only thing on the menu at Mu.
Mu uses the slogan “Fukin Good Ribs” and the ribs at this restaurant are huge and meaty. Mu is owned by husband and wife Simon and Elizabeth. And this restaurant only serves ribs.
I have eaten at Mu several times over the past eight years and the ribs at the restaurant have always been excellent and service has been good.

Poblanos is a new Mexican restaurant that opened recently in Medellín. It’s located in El Poblado has some good Tex-Mex style food. Poblanos is a new Tex-Mex restaurant started by four partners, three brothers from the U.S. and a family friend from Medellín.
Poblanos is located in the Jardín Latino gastronomic market in the Manila barrio of El Poblado. Poblanos is a Mexican restaurant with several traditional Tex-Mex food options on the menu.

12. Rocoto: A Popular Peruvian Restaurant
Rocoto is a popular Peruvian restaurant in Medellín located in El Poblado with very good ceviche and other seafood dishes due to having a Peruvian chef.
This is my favorite Peruvian restaurants in Medellín. I have eaten at this restaurant several times and the service and food has been consistently good.
The owner of Rocoto is Colombian but the chef is Peruvian. So, this restaurant has some authentic Peruvian food in my experience and the dishes are well-prepared and well-presented.
Since this is a Peruvian restaurant, ceviche is a specialty. There are 10 different ceviche dishes on the menu. And there are three dishes that are Japanese style sashimi fish marinated with Peruvian flavors.
Also, there are nine different fish and prawn dishes on the menu. And a house specialty is the surf and turf, which is a lobster tail, tenderloin medallions and squid that is sautéed with vegetables or French fries and is accompanied with rocoto or creamy coconut rice.

Romero Cocina Artesanal is a popular chain of four Italian restaurants in Medellín with good Italian food and a sizable menu of options.
Romero has a fairly sizable menu with many appetizers, pastas, casseroles, pizzas, salads, house specials and desserts.
They have many different types of pasta dishes available on the menu including fettuccine, ravioli, spaghetti and tortellini.
Also, on the menu are six different casserole dishes. These are house special dishes cooked in the restaurant’s stone oven and combined with ripened cheeses, spices and freshly made sauces.

In addition, 20Mission Cerveza is not just a new brewery with six types of high-quality beer. It’s also a large venue with a restaurant, bar and a big space for events.
For its delivery service during the quarantine, 20Mission Cerveza offers its six craft beers and also food from its food menu.
