Delirio Exquisito is a popular Mexican-Asian fusion restaurant in Medellín with some very creative food with excellent presentation.

This is a trendy restaurant that draws a crowd, particularly on the weekends. And the restaurant name Delirio Exquisito means “Exquisite delirium”. Also, Delirio Exquisito has two locations in Medellín in El Poblado and Laureles.

I went to this restaurant recently for the first time with a friend who highly recommended it. And I went with some trepidation, thinking “a Mexican-Asian fusion restaurant – in Medellín?”

But I was pleasantly surprised. The presentation of the meals and the flavors and creativity was excellent. And the food was very tasty and exceeded my expectations.

Also, there were so many options on the menu that looked interesting. So, I plan to return. In addition, they have menus in English and Spanish available.

The Food Menu

Delirio Exquisito is a Mexican-Asian fusion restaurant with many creative food options on the menu including:

• Quesadillas Delirio – toasted flour tortillas triangles in fusion of salmon and shrimp sautéed with vegetables in curry sauce – 24,900 pesos.
• Quesadillas – toasted flour tortillas trianges with melted Delirio cheese with house sauce, pico de gallo and guacamole – choice of meat beef, chicken or both – 25,900 pesos.
• Mexican Soup – homemade tomato soup with chicken, sweet corn, fresh avocado, Delirio cheese, crunchy chicharron (pork rinds) and corn chips – 24,900 pesos.
• Noodles Delirio – noodles with shrimp and cheese melted in niniko sauce along with wok-sautéed vegetables – 29,900 pesos.
• Asian Rice – rice with shellfish, salmon, vegetables, wok-sautéed in coconut sauce – 29,900 pesos.
• Sterling Delirante – sterling (thick) cut of sirloin, wrapped in bacon and service on a bed of rice with coriander and cheese – 37,900 pesos.
• Solomito Encostrado – sirloin filet encrusted with sesame seen and house spices. And accompanied with choice of sautéed vegetables, fresh salad or French fries – 37,900 pesos.
• Salmon Filet Fusion – Salmon filet with sea salt and pepper on a bid of Deliria tortilla with touches of white sauce. And accompanied with choice of sautéed vegetables, fresh salad or French fries – 32,900 pesos.
• Asian Salmon – Grilled salmon filet in teriyaki sauce service on a bed of spinach. And accompanied with choice of sautéed vegetables, fresh salad or French fries – 32,900 pesos.
• Salmon Garrapinado – grilled salmon filet with candied almonds service on a bed of vermicelli, avocado and coriander sauce – 32,900 pesos.
• Burritos Delirio – crunchy tamarind chicken, fresh cheese and lettuce wrapped in soft flour tortillas and companied with guacamole and tamarind sauce – 25,900 pesos.
• Mongolian – cubes of your choice of meat (chicken, beef or both) in Mongol sauce accompanied with oriental noodles and sautéed vegetables – 28,900 pesos.
• Grilled tuna – black and white sesame crusted grilled tuna on a bed of sushi rice and teriyaki mirror sauce. And accompanied with sautéed vegetables – 29,900 pesos.
• Trio of Tacos – a trio of tacos with guacamole, refried beans, house sauces, lettuce and pico de gallo – choice of pork, grilled chicken or ground beef tacos – 26,900 pesos.
• Lettuce Sea Wraps – lettuce burritos with coconut breaded shrimp accompanied with house dressing – 25,900 pesos.
• Lettuce Wraps – lettuce burritos with chicken and celery sautéed in house sauce and almonds with vermicelli and porizo sauce – 23,900 pesos.
• Alambre – pieces of sirloin and chicharron (pork rinds) bathed in caramelized sauce and melted cheese. And accompanied with Delirio guacamole and pico de gallo and wrapped in corn or flour tortillas – 28,900 pesos.
• Chirashi Kani – Kani in dynamite sauce, accompanied by edamames, crispy seaweed and avocado on a bed of quinoa mixed with caviar and sesame – 28,900 pesos.
• Chirashi Tempura – shrimp tempura covered in sour cream, accompanied by seaweed salad, avocado and mango on a sushi rice base mixed with caviar – 28,900 pesos.
• Fresh Chirashi – seaweed salad and avocado on a bed of sushi rice mixed with caviar and fresh salmon, fresh tuna or both and served with chipotle sauces – 29,900 pesos.
• Shrimp Chirashi – breaded coconut shrimp on bed of seaweed and crab sticks served in a crunchy tortilla with teriyaki sauce – 28,900 pesos.

If you go with a group, I recommend ordering several dishes and sharing. And there are eight dishes that are intended to be shared including nachos, fajitas and several types of tacos with prices ranging from 23,900 to 46,900 pesos.

Also, there 12 different appetizers on the menu price from 17,900 to 26,900 pesos.

I highly recommend the Iconolomito appetizer, which is slices of sirloin accompanied with sour cream and avocado strips in a ginger base sauce for 26,900 pesos.

Also, there are three salads on the menu priced at 24,900 to 29,900 pesos. And there is a kid’s menu with two options for 18,900 pesos each.

Finally, there are four desserts on the menu priced at 13,900 to 14,500 pesos.

The Drink Menu

Delirio Exquisito has a pretty good selection on its drink menu. There are over 30 wines available for 54,900 to 119,000 pesos per bottle. And wine by the cup is available for 13,900 pesos. Also, there are 10 beers on the menu for 6,500 to 10,900 pesos.

In addition, there are 18 different cocktails for 15,900 to 28,900 pesos each. Also, there are 20 different liquors available for 93,900 to 299,000 pesos per bottle. And liquor shots are available for 8,900 to 16,900 pesos per shot and several sangrias are also available.

Finally, for non-alcoholic drinks they have waters, sodas, tea, juices and lemonades for 3,900 to 7,900 pesos.

How to Get to Delirio Exquisito

Delierio Exquisito has two restaurants in Medellín:

1. El Poblado, Provenza: Calle 10 with Carrera 33 corner.
2. Laureles: Avenida Nutibara # 74B-09

Delirio’s Provenza restaurant is located on Calle 10. And it’s located across the street from the big El Corral hamburger place on Calle 10. Also, it’s located near the Provenza location of the El Correo steakhouse chain.

Also, Delirio’s Provenza location is about a 20-minute walk from the Medellín metro Poblado metro station on Line A. And it’s also about a 5-minute walk from Parque Lleras.

In addition, you can take a taxi from the Poblado metro station to Delirio in Provenza, which will be a minimum fare of 5,600 pesos.
