La Burger Bar (aka The BGR Burgers) is a gourmet burger restaurant located in Envigado near Medellín, which is very popular with good burgers.

I have a friend living near Parque Envigado and I have been to the restaurant several times. This restaurant originally opened in 2014. And it appears to have used two names: La Burger Bar and The BGR Burgers. When it first opened it was a smaller restaurant but expanded to add more space.

La Burger Bar (The BGR Burgers) has some very good burgers and it has 17 different burgers on the menu. But you can also choose additional toppings or remove toppings. So, the burgers can be custom made.

This is a gourmet burger restaurant with several burgers on the menu. La Burger Bar has 17 different burgers on the menu listed below. And each burger comes with fries.

1. Classic – beef cooked to order with fresh lettuce, tomato and pickled onions for 12,900 pesos.
2. Classic with Cheese – beef cooked to order with double cheddar cheese, fresh lettuce, tomato and pickled onions for 15,900 pesos.
3. Cheese and Bacon – beef cooked to order with cheddar cheese, bacon, fresh lettuce, tomato and pickled onions for 17,900 pesos.
4. Blue Cheese – beef cooked to order with blue cheese cream, fresh lettuce, tomato and pickled onions for 16,900 pesos.
5. Blue Magic – beef cooked to order with crispy almond and cream cheese, bacon, blueberry BBQ sauce and mustard shoots for 21,900 pesos.
6. Spicy Chicken Mayo – chicken fillet with mozzarella cheese, fresh lettuce, avocado slices and Sriracha mayonnaise for 18,900 pesos.
7. Caribbean – beef cooked to order with bacon, mozzarella cheese, fresh lettuce, slice of grilled pineapple and black beer BBQ sauce for 17,900 pesos.
8. Pampa – beef cooked to order with sausage, mozzarella cheese, fresh lettuce, tomato and chimichurri for 16,900 pesos.
9. Italian – beef cooked to order with mozzarella cheese, fresh lettuce, tomato and pesto mayonnaise for 16,900 pesos.
10. New York – beef cooked to order with cheddar cheese, fresh lettuce, tomato, pickles and onion rings for 16,900 pesos.
11. Peruvian – beef cooked to order with mozzarella cheese, fresh lettuce, tomato, avocado slices, salad acevichada and chili pepper cream for 16,900 pesos.
12. Avocado – beef cooked to order with mozzarella cheese, fresh lettuce, tomato, pickled onions, avocado slices and bacon for 18,900 pesos.
13. Tennessee Honey BBQ – beef cooked to order with bacon, cream cheese, fresh lettuce, tomato, caramelized onions and Tennessee Honey BBQ sauce for 21,900 pesos.
14. Mexican – beef cooked to order with cheddar cheese, fresh lettuce, tomato, pickled onions, tortilla, refried beans, jalapeños and ranch sauce for 18,900 pesos.
15. Texan – beef cooked to order with cheddar cheese, fresh lettuce, tomato, tortilla, refried beans and jalapeños for 16,900 pesos.
16. Creole – beef cooked to order with creole sauce, bacon, fried egg, fresh lettuce, tomato and pickled onions for 18,900 pesos.

In addition to all the burgers on the menu, La Burger Bar also has six appetizers on the menu with prices ranging from 12,900 to 17,900 pesos.

Also, there is one kid’s menu option, which is a chicken sandwich with fries for 12,900 pesos. Finally, there are two desserts on the menu for 11,900 pesos each.

The Drink Menu

La Burger Bar has a relatively small drink menu. There are eight beers for 3,900 to 6,000 pesos each. Note that Budweiser is the cheapest beer here for 3,900 pesos.

In addition, the menu has several non-alcoholic drinks including juices, lemonades, sodas, tea and water for 3,200 to 6,900 pesos pesos.

How to Get to La Burger Bar (The BGR Burgers)

The easiest way to get to La Burger Bar (The BGR Burgers) in Envigado is using the Medellín Metro. To get there take the Line A metro to the Envigado metro station.

Also, it’s located about a 5-minute walk from Parque Envigado, which is about a 15-minute walk from the metro station. Or you could take a bus from the metro station or a minimum fare taxi for 5,500 pesos.

And from Parque Envigado walk to the right of the Iglesia de Santa Gertrudis church and you will find this popular burger restaurant on the right side of the street several blocks past the new Mercado del Tranvía Envigado.

La Burger Bar has some very good gourmet style burgers. And I have eaten several times at this restaurant, which is conveniently located within easy walking distance from Parque Envigado.

La Burger Bar is very popular. So, it sometimes fills up, particularly on weekends, with a wait for a table. Also, they don’t take reservations.

There is a lot of competition for gourmet burger places in Medellín. Several other burger places in Medellín like Chef Burger, Barbacoa Burger & Beer and Grill Station Burger also have good gourmet style burgers.

Furthermore, all these gourmet style burger restaurants in Medellín in our list of the best burger places tend to have much better burgers than you will find at the fast food places in the city like Burger King or McDonalds.
