Gospel Sinfónico – Jeremy Winston Chorale & Orquesta Sinfónica EAFIT
From Ohio, United States, Jeremy Winston Chorale arrives at El Tesoro Theater. One of the most important choirs in the world of orchestral and choral music visits the city of Medellín to present an exciting symphonic gospel concert accompanied by the EAFIT Symphony Orchestra.
This show is produced in co-production with the Colombo Americano de Medellín, a non-profit cultural institution with extensive experience in teaching English as a second language, they are part of the Network of Binational Centers in Colombia (BNC) recognized by the United States Embassy in Colombia as allied entities.
📚 History & Interesting Facts:
Founded in 2012, The Jeremy Winston Chorale has left an indelible mark on the musical community. The choir’s inaugural performance was at the world’s largest choir competition: “Cincinnati International Choir Competition” in Ohio. Competing against international choirs from different parts of the world, they were awarded the gold medal for best Gospel group, and silver medals in the Mixed Choirs (Classical Music) and Spirituals categories.
From the moment they won the international competition, the choir has had highly notable performances including a performance for President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama at the White House in December 2012 and then a second performance in 2015. They have also been invited to perform with the Czech National Symphony Orchestra in their Prague Proms concert series during the summer in several years including June 2025.
