Hostel Rango Boutique is a popular boutique hostel in Medellín that is well-located near Parque Lleras in El Poblado with dorm rooms and private rooms. In some ways this boutique hostel feels almost like a small boutique hotel.

History of Hostel Rango Boutique
This hostel was built by four Swiss partners. It originally opened in early 2017 and has been open about two years. The hostel was built with a goal to provide a very comfortable hostel experience, which blends the comfort of a hotel with the social dynamics of a hostel.
This hostel currently has 48 beds in total as well as a small recreation room, a restaurant/bar and a rooftop patio. And this hostel has become popular and started to experience some full occupancy.
In addition, the hostel is currently being expanded to add two more floors, which should open in a month or two. However, the rooftop patio is currently closed due to the construction. And after the expansion opens, the hostel will have 68 beds.
The Rooms at the Hostel
Hostel Rango Boutique currently has a total of 48 beds. The beds are located in dorm rooms and private rooms.
The dorm beds have rates that start at about 60,000 pesos per night. And the dorm rooms have no more than 6 beds.
In each dorm room in the hostel, the beds are equipped with individual reading lights, two electrical sockets and personal lockers. In addition, both mixed-gender and female-only dorm rooms are available.
Also, there are private rooms with rates that start at about 247,000 pesos per night. The private rooms are equipped with a TV, mini-fridge, landline (fijo) telephone and several electrical sockets.
Note that rates can vary and are higher during popular times like during Feria de las Flores (Medellín’s flower festival).
Features of the Hostel
This hostel includes some design features that aren’t normally found in most of the hostels in Medellín.
For example, each room is an expression of a neighborhood in Medellín. Each room is uniquely decorated starting with the original structure and using elements of cast iron and oak furniture, which were handmade by retired local craftsmen, as well as contemporary elements.
Furthermore, every bathroom in this hostel is modern and has rainfall shower-heads with hot water.
The rates at this hostel include free high-speed Wi-Fi, free coffee and complimentary breakfast. Also, there is a restaurant/bar and laundry service available. But no kitchen is available in this hostel.
How to Get to Hostel Rango Boutique
Hostel Rango Boutique is located in El Poblado. The nearest Medellín Metro station is the Poblado station on the A Line. And this hostel is located less than a 15-minute walk from the Poblado metro station.
In addition, this hostel is conveniently located since it’s only a few blocks from Parque Lleras. And it’s less than a block from Parque Poblado in El Poblado.
Furthermore, directly behind this hostel is Parque Lineal La Presidenta where there some tables right outside the hostel restaurant/bar area.
