The massive musical phenomenon of the 2000s, NU METAL, arrives with all its force to experience a symphonic concert never before seen in Medellín.

La Banda School and La Filarmónica Metropolitana, directed by Alejandro Vásquez Mejía and orchestrated by Alex Zuluaga, will bring a unique event to the country where the sonic power of diverse legendary bands like Korn, Limp Bizkit, Slipknot, SOAD, and Linkin Park will blend with the epic sound of “La Metro.”

Nu metal, a subgenre of alternative metal, rose to prominence in the late 1990s and early 2000s, characterized by its fusion of heavy metal with elements of hip-hop, industrial, and grunge. Bands like Korn, Limp Bizkit, Slipknot, System of a Down, and Linkin Park pioneered this sound, often incorporating distorted guitar riffs, rhythmic vocals, and aggressive lyrical themes. The genre became known for its raw energy and emotional intensity, resonating with a generation by reflecting angst and rebellion through its diverse musical influences.
