Festival Internacional de Poesía de Medellín
The Medellín International Poetry Festival celebrates 35 years of history with a profound call to life and resistance. Inspired by the verse “Life liberated from iron will emerge,” this anniversary reaffirms poetry as an act of transformation and consciousness, a vital force that opposes destruction and vindicates the sacredness of existence.
From July 5 to 12, with the presence of 60 poets and guests from 45 countries, this gathering will be celebrated, invoking the inclusive and reconciling language of poetry, amidst this tempestuous time that demands the urgent reconstruction of the human spirit. The poetic word rises as a bridge towards a new humanity, in harmony with itself and with nature.
