Viva La Salsa

This spectacular salsa concert, titled Viva la Salsa, transforms Medellín’s iconic Estadio Atanasio Girardot into a vibrant celebration of Caribbean rhythms. Featuring legendary salsa acts like El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico, Hermanos Lebrón, Rey Ruiz, and Yiyo Sarante performing live, the July 5th event promises a high-energy show packed with classic and contemporary salsa hits. Held at 5:00 pm, Viva la Salsa creates a communal atmosphere—fans of all ages are invited to dance, sing along, and experience the infectious beat together. 

📚 History & Interesting Facts:

Atanasio Girardot Stadium, inaugurated in 1953, has traditionally been the venue for major concerts and sporting events. Its acoustics and capacity have allowed icons such as Guns N’ Roses, Madonna, and Shakira to perform. This event, organized in cooperation with the Mayor’s Office, seeks to strengthen open cultural spaces, recalling the Antioquian tradition of celebrating to the rhythm of salsa and anticipating the celebration of the Flower Fair.
