Delaire Sky Lounge was a popular restaurant and bar located in El Poblado in Medellín. It was located at the top of the Rio Sur mall, so it had beautiful views of the city. But this place closed in early 2019.

This restaurant/bar reportedly closed in early 2019 in March 2019.

I have been to Delaire Sky Lounge many times over the past several years. It had a nice atmosphere and some good food and drinks. And it was a nice place to go on a romantic date or for a special occasion like a birthday. Also, it had retractable awnings to allow diners to enjoy the open air and view, regardless of the weather.

The Food Menu

The food menu at Delaire had seven main dishes on the menu including fish, steak, pork, shrimp and chicken dishes, which range in price from 35,000 to 38,000 pesos.

Delaire also had some good thin-crust pizzas cooked in a brick-oven. There were 11 different pizzas on the menu ranging in price from 26,000 to 32,000 pesos. And there were over 20 different additions on the menu that you could add to pizzas for 4,000 to 7,000 pesos each.

In addition, the menu included three pasta dishes with prices ranging from 31,000 to 34,000 pesos. Also there were four different wraps for 31,000 pesos each.

Delaire also had salads on the menu. They had the Delaire Salad for 25,000 pesos. And they had a “create your salad” option with a base of mixed lettuce and vinaigrette for 5,000 pesos and you could add other ingredients for 2,000 to 7,000 pesos each.

Also, there were 14 different appetizers on the menu ranging in price from 8,000 to 50,000 pesos. And there are two soups on the menu priced at 15,000 and 17,000 pesos.

Finally, there were five different desserts on the menu ranging in price from 8,000 to 20,000 pesos.

The Drink Menu

On the drink menu at Delaire Sky Lounge, there were over 45 different wines and champagnes on the menu that range in price from 72,000 to 800,000 pesos for a bottle. And a glass of house wine costs 17,000 pesos. In addition, the restaurant had 10 different beers that were all priced at 9,000 pesos.

Also, there were five different sangrias on the menu with prices ranging from 85,000 to 88,000 pesos per pitcher.

In addition, on the drink menu were over 25 different cocktails ranging in price from 24,000 to 35,000 pesos. The cocktails included margaritas, martinis, mojitos and several others.

Furthermore, there were over 45 different liquors on the drink menu available by bottle ranging in price from 95,000 to 1,100,000 pesos or by shot ranging in price from 15,000 to 37,000 pesos.

For non-alcoholic drinks they had several juices and lemonades for 8,000 to 9,000 pesos. They also had bottled water, sodas, coffees and several other non-alcoholic drinks on the menu with prices ranging from 4,500 to 14,000 pesos.

How to Get to Delaire Sky Lounge

Delaire Sky Lounge was located in the Rio Sur mall/building, which is across the street from Oviedo mall in El Poblado. Delaire was on the seventh floor of the building.

In this building the elevators are in the back. After exiting the elevator on the seventh floor, you went through a shared entrance with the Sixttina Discoteca and go up some stairs to the restaurant.

The nearest Medellín metro station is Aquacatala on Line A, which is about a 15-minute walk from the Rio Sur.

Taxis owere other options to get to Delaire. Every taxi driver in Medellín will know where Oviedo mall is located, which is across the street (Avenida Poblado) from Rio Sur.

Also, it is normally relatively easy to catch taxis in front of Rio Sur when you leave.

The Bottom Line: Delaire Sky Lounge: Dining and Drinks with a View in Medellín

Delaire Sky Lounge was a good place to go on a romantic date with the nice views. And it had some good food and a fairly extensive bar. So, it was a popular place not just for dates.

Also, on a Friday or Saturday night, you could make a night of it and have dinner and drinks at Delaire before going down the stairs to dance at Sixttina.

In addition, Delaire got busy, particularly on the weekends. But you could make reservations.
