Dante is a popular Italian restaurant located in El Poblado in Medellín with some very good Italian food with fresh ingredients and good desserts. Also, the owner of Dante is reportedly Italian. So, this restaurant has some authentic Italian dishes.

I have been to Dante many times over the past several years as I like authentic Italian food. The service has always been good in my experience and the food has always been perfectly prepared. And my Colombian wife loves the lasagna at this restaurant.

Furthermore, Dante is currently ranked the 18th best Italian restaurant out of over 180 Italian restaurants listed on TripAdvisor in Medellín. But keep in mind that TripAdvisor can’t always be trusted for Medellín and in my opinion Dante should be ranked much higher.

The Bottom Line: Dante

I like Italian food and I have lived in Medellín for over eight years. Dante is one of my favorite Italian restaurants I have discovered in the city.

Dante has some very good food with fresh ingredients and good presentation. And the restaurant is casual with a nice ambiance and good service. However, it’s a relatively small restaurant that can fill up on the weekends but you can call for a reservation.

Finally, make sure to leave room for dessert, as the Tiramisu here is very good and the other desserts are also good.
