No one has managed to solve the enigmas until the unknown Prince Calaf arrives\, who\, captivated by the princess\, decides to face the challenge. \nIt is a beautiful production with more than 200 artists on stage\, including renowned soloists and directors invited from Kazakhstan\, Spain\, Cuba\, Peru\, Venezuela\, and Colombia. \n📚 History & Interesting Facts:\nIt is believed that Puccini was inspired to write Turandot after attending a performance of Friedrich Schiller’s play “Turandot” in 1920. The choir’s inaugural performance was at the world’s largest choir competition: “Cincinnati International Choir Competition” in Ohio. Competing against international choirs from different parts of the world\, they were awarded the gold medal for best Gospel group\, and silver medals in the Mixed Choirs (Classical Music) and Spirituals categories. \nFrom the moment they won the international competition\, the choir has had highly notable performances including a performance for President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama at the White House in December 2012 and then a second performance in 2015. In 2025\, the event will be named Gardel\, 90 years of an eternal song\, in honor of the commemoration of the 90th anniversary of the death of the Argentine artist\, one of the greatest exponents of tango internationally. \nThe inauguration event of the Festival will be at the Olaya Herrera Airport\, where a show will pay tribute to Gardel. In this space\, with the help of national and international artists\, some of the artist’s greatest hits\, such as Mi Buenos Aires Querido\, Volver\, and El día que me quieras\, will be remembered. \nOther venues for the 19th edition of this event will be the Claustro Comfama San Ignacio\, the Manrique neighborhood\, Plaza Gardel\, and the Teatro Carlos Vieco. \n📚 History & Interesting Facts:\nMedellín’s connection to tango dates back to the tragic death of Carlos Gardel in the city in 1935\, an event that cemented its place in tango history.
