DESCRIPTION:The Mikaël Hyla Quartet invites you on a musical journey between Paris and the Caribbean to the sound of the accordion\, clarinet\, drums\, and double bass\, with rhythms of swing\, French waltz\, Colombian cumbia\, pasillo\, melodies from deep Eastern Europe\, and Latin jazz\, both exciting and explosive\, leading the audience to be surprised and dance with their own style and sound. Their musical proposal is dedicated to an audience aged 20 to 50 who are fans of quality instrumental music and dance music. \n📚 History & Interesting Facts: \nMikaël Hyla Cuarteto is a musical ensemble that blends diverse global influences\, taking its audience on a journey from Paris to the Caribbean. Their unique sound is characterized by the fusion of accordion\, clarinet\, drums\, and double bass\, incorporating rhythms from swing\, French waltz\, Colombian cumbia and pasillo\, deep Eastern European melodies\, and Latin jazz.  \nThey began in 2019 playing in restaurants in the city of Medellín in a trio format\, until participating in 2021 in the Young International Music Competition in Atlanta (USA) where they won first prize in the “World Music” category. In 2022 they participated in the José Barros National Cumbia Festival in El Banco Magdalena\, the Django Festival in Medellín and the Circulart showcases\, an important step towards the professionalization of their musical project. In June 2023 they played for La Fiesta de la Musica in collaboration with the Alianza Francesa in Medellín and Bogotá. In September\, they played at the opening of La Fiesta del Libro y la Cultura de Medellín and at the Medellín Music Week showcase. In 2024 they continue playing in emblematic places in the city of Medellín like El Club del Jazz\, filling the venues where they perform. They played at the Villa de Leyva International Jazz Festival and the Jazz al Parque Festival in Bogotá.
