SUMMARY:El Carnaval de los Animales
DESCRIPTION:La Llave Maestra presents the famous musical suite created by the French composer Camille Saint-Säens in 1886. \n5 comedians bring to life 42 animals and 7 characters\, who will transport us on a journey to the heart of the wild world\, transitioning with versatility and virtuosity between object and puppet animation\, physical theater\, masks\, shadow theater\, dance\, and clowning. \nConceived as an ode to animal beauty and majesty\, THE CARNIVAL OF THE ANIMALS: Ballet of Forms and Objects\, is a surprising spectacle; an invitation to contemplate with open senses and let yourself be carried away by music\, creativity and visuality. \n📚 History & Interesting Facts:\n“The Carnival of the Animals” (Le Carnaval des Animaux) is a musical suite by the French composer Camille Saint-Saëns\, composed in 1886. It is a humorous musical parody\, intended initially by Saint-Saëns purely for private performance among friends and not for public release. He feared that its lighthearted and comical nature would detract from his reputation as a serious composer. \nThe suite is divided into fourteen movements\, each representing a different animal or group of animals\, and often incorporates musical jokes and parodies of well-known pieces by other composers\, or even of Saint-Saëns’s own work. For example\, the “Pianists” movement is a humorous caricature of piano students practicing scales\, while “Fossils” quotes “Twinkle\, Twinkle\, Little Star” and other familiar tunes in a skeletal\, xylophone-dominated arrangement. \nIronically\, despite Saint-Saëns’s initial reluctance\, “The Swan” movement\, featuring a cello melody accompanied by two pianos\, became one of his most popular and enduring works\, often performed as a standalone piece. The complete suite was only published and premiered publicly after Saint-Saëns’s death in 1921\, at his explicit request. Since then\, it has become one of the most beloved and frequently performed pieces in classical music\, especially popular with children and for its clever orchestration and witty musical portrayals. \nJoin our networking group in Colombia on Facebook\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Colombia Expats Networking Hub \n \n \n 🌟 Welcome to Colombia Expats Networking Hub! 🌎 Join to our community where you can connect with fellow expatriates\, share your experiences\, and gather invaluable insights about your life in Colombia. 🌆 \n \n \n \n Join Now!

SUMMARY:Teatro en familia: El Principito en Medellín
DESCRIPTION:With choreography by Sandra Mosquera and musical composition by maestro Gustavo Yepes\, the theater revisits this wonderful story to reflect on the man of our time\, a man who has forgotten how to play and whom we want to invite to be a child again\, to fly\, to dream\, to have fun\, to look with the heart. \nThere\, we will see the story of a pilot who suffers an accident in the desert and meets a child\, whom he calls the Little Prince and who tells him about all the planets he has visited and the disappointments he has had. This unexpected encounter allows both to achieve what they had never achieved before: to be understood in their vision of the world and of human beings. Through the tenderness and apparent ingenuity of The Little Prince\, an apparently childish story is revealed that\, in reality\, proposes a profound reflection of man on human relationships and life itself. \n📚 History & Interesting Facts:\n“The Little Prince” (Le Petit Prince) is a novella written and illustrated by French aristocrat\, writer\, poet\, and pioneering aviator Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. It was first published in 1943 in both French and English. The story is a poetic tale\, told by a pilot stranded in the desert who meets a young prince fallen from a tiny asteroid. Through their conversations\, the novella explores profound themes of loneliness\, friendship\, love\, and loss. \nDespite its deceptively simple\, childlike narrative and illustrations\, “The Little Prince” is a deeply philosophical work that critiques the absurdities of the adult world and celebrates the innocence\, imagination\, and wisdom of childhood. It has been translated into over 300 languages and dialects\, making it one of the most translated books in history\, and has sold over 140 million copies worldwide\, cementing its status as one of the best-selling books ever published. Its enduring popularity stems from its timeless message about the importance of seeing with the heart rather than just with the eyes\, and its poignant reflections on what truly matters in life.
