History of the Flower Festival
The Flower Festival in Medellín is a must-see event, embodying the spirit and beauty of Colombia’s second-largest city. The first official “Desfile de Silleteros” (Silleteros Parade) took place in 1957, becoming the festival’s most iconic event. As part of the Colombia Flower Festival, this event continues to symbolize Medellín’s transformation and growth, offering a colorful and joyful celebration that attracts both locals and tourists alike.

When is the Flower Festival?
The Medellin Flower Festival in 2024 will take place from August 2nd to August 11th. August 2nd marks the start of the festival and serves as the inauguration day. Following this, the Feria de las Flores will commence with numerous activities.
